The answer before you ask the question

The home screen exists to answer one question: am I working, and for how much longer? A duty ring fills as your shift progresses and a countdown badge reads down to the minute, so the answer is legible from across a room.

The calendar renders your whole rotation forward and backward, so booking a dentist appointment four months out takes one look instead of counting on your fingers.

• Colour-coded month grid — day shifts, night shifts and days off are distinguishable at a glance.
• Tap to override — mark vacation, an extra shift, a trade, or an on-call assignment without breaking the underlying pattern.
• Unlimited horizon — the rotation is computed, not stored, so it projects as far ahead as you need.
• Workplace timezone — added in v2.1, so your schedule stays correct when you travel.

Six characters, no sign-up

Sharing is the reason most people install Kairos. Your spouse should not need to create an account, remember a password, or install anything beyond the app itself.

• 6-character access code — short enough to read out over the phone.
• Read-only by construction — recipients see your availability, they cannot edit it.
• Revocable — change your mind and the code stops working.
• No accounts on either side — nobody signs up for anything.

Your schedule is not a product

Kairos has no user accounts and no backend database holding your shifts. Your schedule lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud, under your own Apple ID.

• CloudKit sync — device-to-device through your private iCloud database, not ours.
• AES-256 encrypted recovery keys — back up and restore across devices without an account.
• No ads, no analytics resale, no tracking profile.
